Date of Birth: January 11, 1983
Place of Birth: Starnberg, Germany
A talented pianist, Adrian Sutil started karting at 14 before moving up to Swiss Formula Ford 1800 in 2002. He won all ten rounds of the season from pole and added five wins in the Formula Masters Austria championship.
In January 2006, Sutil enter Formula One as one of the three test drivers for the new Minardi F1 Racing team, along with Markus Winkelhock and Giorgio Mondini.
Sutil appeared for the Minardi team as the third driver at the European, French and Japanese Grands Prix. By the time of his third appearance the outfit had been bought by Spyker Cars. At the end of the year he was promoted to second driver for the 2007 season, having been signed on a multi-year contract by the team.
At Fuji Speedway, Japan, Sutil narrowly missed an opportunity to score Spyker's first ever point, briefly holding 8th position on the penultimate lap of the high-attrition race after Nick Heidfeld retired his BMW, but was almost immediately passed by fellow back-marker Vitantonio Liuzzi in the Toro Rosso and finished 9th, still a career-best.
After the race it was found that Liuzzi had overtaken Sutil under yellow flags, and the 25-second penalty for the Italian promoted Sutil to the final points position. Toro Rosso appealed the decision, but the penalty was upheld.
He has been praised by many for his performances in the 2007 Formula One Championship. Despite driving the most uncompetitive car of the year, the German rookie has impressed by not only dominating all of his teammates in both qualifying and race conditions, but also by challenging other drivers with superior equipment.
Sutil is contracted to race with Force India (formerly Spyker) for 2008, after briefly entertaining the possibility of a McLaren drive.

Force Indian Driver Giancarlo Fisichella
Nationality: Italian
Team: Force India
Podium Finish: 18
Date of Birth: January 14, 1973
Place of Birth: Rome, Italy
Giancarlo Fisichella has driven in Formula One for Renault Sauber, Jordan, Benetton and Minardi before joining new Force India Team on 10 January 2008.
Like most current Formula One drivers, he began kart racing as a youngster. In 1992, he competed in the Italian Formula Three series, racing for the RC Motorsport team. He finished runner up in 1993, and in 1994 he won the championship, following race victories in Monaco and Macau. He left open-wheel racing briefly in 1995, driving for Alfa Romeo in the International Touring Car Championship series.
In 1996, he made the move to Formula One, making his debut for the Minardi team. However he did not complete the full season since Minardi required a driver who could bring funding to the team, and replaced Fisichella with Giovanni Lavaggi.
Fisichella has won three races in his career to date, the first of which was at the chaotic 2003 Brazilian Grand Prix, a race abandoned for safety reasons with 15 laps remaining. After much confusion regarding rules and technicalities (which lasted for several days)
Fisichella was eventually declared the winner in the following week, and collected his trophy in an unorthodox ceremony at the following race.
Fisichella had endured mixed fortunes at his last team, Renault. He was brought in to the team to replace fellow Italian Jarno Trulli, and won his first race with the team in Australia in 2005.
However, after that race it was his team-mate, the Spanish driver Fernando Alonso win the greater share of races for Renault. Although highly rated as a driver, Fisichella was unable to keep pace with eventual champion Alonso, managing just one further race win since his debut. Outside of driving, he runs his own GP2 team, FMS International.
Force India goes green, ties up for zero emission bikes
BARCELONA, April 25: In an effort to reduce its carbon footprint, the Force India Formula One team on Friday announced its partnership with Vectrix UK Ltd, the producers of the world's first high-performance, zero emission, electric motorcycle.
Accordingly, Vectrix will supply the team with two Force India-branded electric maxi-scooters to use at races, tests and at its Silverstone factory.
The pioneering bikes run exclusively on battery power, which is recharged by plugging the onboard charger into any standard electrical outlet.
Fully-charged, each bike has a range of up to 68 miles, making the Vectrix the 'greenest' way to get around.
"As a Formula One racing team we are well aware of our responsibility to off-set our carbon emissions from Grands Prix, testing and travelling around the globe and the Vectrix bikes are a practical and innovative way to continue our policies," Vijay Mallya, chairman and managing director of Force India, said. "They're a great product; versatile, fast and cheap to run, they will be a very welcome addition to the team on events," he added.
